BOX JELLYFISH FORECAST: INFLUX DESIGNATION

LEVEL (1) = PROBABLE:
This does NOT indicate the size relative to other cycles. This designation only says that at least "some" box jellyfish will appear in South Shore waters.

LEVEL (2) = MODERATE: PROBABLILITY:
Indicates a "possibility" exists.

LEVEL 3 = LOW PROBABILITY:
Indicates that IF box jellyfish do appear, the level will be small within the present cycle.

 

 

WARNING: These are simply estimated dates of arrivals based on historical data. Box Jellyfish have arrived on "off-cycle" days. Always use caution when in or around the ocean environment and swim with a buddy and at guarded beaches. Always ask the lifeguard about current ocean conditions and hazards before entering the water.
